Gambit
is Remy Lebeau, a charming, sexy and handsome french mutant, with
the hability of charging things telecinaticly (cards are his favorite).
His family belongs to the thief league, wich is rival of the assasins
league.
His past has always been a mystery, but was revealed not so long
ago in Uncanny X-Men #350. There, Magneto, using a different autfit
and under the name of "Erik the Red" created a trial for
our red eyed hero. As jury were Beast, Maggot, Rogue, Psylocke and
a human woman. Archangel was his defender, who couldn't do such
thing after knowing what was the charge about... the Morlocks massacre!
He was tottally devasted after Bella Donna's death and agreed to
work for Sinister, who asked him to penetrate the Morlocks community. |

Then
Erik forced Rogue to kiss Gambit and absorb his memories... Then
she sees him watching the massacre agonized and salving one boned
little girl. After that they get themselves out of that place
and she and Remy talk about what just happened. She says dreadfull
things such as he will never be an x-man and that he can't go
back to the mansion cause he's got no home. He says he loves her
(oooh, how cute!) and she answers that he "must be true for
those he loves, otherwise it's a gamble".... She leaves him
in the Artic.
Well, I haven't figured out yet how he and Rogue have fallen in
love for each other and how he got into the X-Men i nthe first
place, so... if you know these facts, please 'mail
me, ok? I REEEALY want to know that.
